Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth

Every once in a while it’s okay to indulge in a sweet treat, especially in the summer time, but that doesn’t mean you should throw away your diet by eating a pint of Ben and Jerry’s or going to your local ice cream drive through. Instead make a dessert at home. By making your own treats, you know exactly what ingredients are being used and you are able to control your own portion sizes. Something as simple as cinnamon apples will satisfy your craving while keeping you on track. Or try a basil strawberry lemon smoothie for a fresh summer taste!

  • 1 tbsp. of fresh basil, chopped

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend until desired texture.
  3. Serve immediately.

Just a few benefits of drinking water include helping with digestion, energizing your body, flushing out toxins, aiding in weight loss, and so much more. Research shows you should drink 60 to 80 ounces of water a day, but remember, there’s no such thing as too much H2O! Fun tip: add some fruit to your water to give it a fresh summer taste!
